Online PHP2Shell and PHP security checker

Use this PHP2Shell checker to review public website signals related to PHP, exposed PHP version details, WordPress assets, and PHP CGI argument-injection risk. The check combines visible response clues with an authorized PHP2Shell probe and explains what those signals may mean.

What does the PHP exposure check look for?

It reviews the website’s HTTP response, headers, generator hints, and links for signs that PHP or a PHP-based platform is in use. Where authorized, it can also send the scanner’s detection probes and report their response signals. A hidden PHP version or a filtered response can limit what an outside check can determine.

How should I interpret a scan result?

A detected PHP version or probe response is a signal to verify the exact PHP build with your hosting provider. A result with no signal does not prove that PHP is absent or that a website is secure. Only scan a website you own or are authorized to test.

Terms for using this check

This tool sends the active multipart control request and progressively larger PHP2Shell detection probes described by the public Assetnote scanner. Requests can total about 29 MiB per target path and may exhaust memory or interrupt PHP workers. A probe signal is not proof of code execution; low memory limits and intermediaries can cause false positives. A negative or inconclusive result does not prove a website is secure. Only scan websites you own or have explicit authorization to test.
